L’évènement de lancement aura lieu le 18 Septembre au bar restaurant “Le Standard”, Palais des Congrès, Bd Gouvion St Cyr, Porte Maillot.

Qui est derrière French Digital?
Initiative a but non lucratif initiée à Londres par Hakim Mendjeli et Guénolé Le Gall,  par une équipe de professionnels motivés (jeter un oeil à la section « The team » ). Maud Bannier et Boris Deltell, représentent la team France.

It’s official: we are launching French Digital Paris, the community for French/Francophone and Francophile digital professionals in Paris with an interest in the equivalent communities around Europe. Save the date,  our launch will take place on the 18th of September at “Le Standard”, Palais des Congrès, Bd Gouvion St Cyr, Porte Maillot. Registration will open shortly.

A bit more about the French Digital initiative: why, what  and how?

  • Why oh why ?

We believe in the value of connecting people and businesses in an informal setting.  We aim to bring together the French, Francophone and Francophile digital communities in and around Paris and enable them to link with similar communities we have launched, starting with our community in London and soon to be followed by other major cities (stay tuned!) . It’s not yet an epidemic (let’s be realistic for a moment…) but we feel and hear that there is a real appetite for enabling local french digital communities to interact and connect with french digital communities around Europe and eventually more widely.

  • What to expect:

French and Francophile professionals will meet up , make new useful contacts, discuss business, learn about relevant initiatives in Paris and in other cities where French Digital is implanted. Most importantly we expect people to come with a professional mindset but to exchange in a relaxed and friendly environment. It might be about meeting interesting startups from Paris or abroad, or chatting with industry leaders. We expect individuals from a mix of agencies, brands, marketers, e-commerce, advertising mobile and web based companies to attend.

  • How? What format do we have in mind?

We aim to organise regular meetups, centered  around sharing a drink and having a chat. We will bring guest speakers from time to time, for say a short presentation followed by drinks and networking. No hard sell, keeping it simple, relevant and useful.

  • Who’s behind French Digital?

French Digital is a not for profit initiative that was created in London by Hakim Mendjeli and Guenole Le Gall sometime in April 2012. It has been supported by a number of motivated people (have a look at “the team” section). We are pleased to announce two new members of the team: Maud Bannier and Boris Deltell, who will be the main faces of French Digital in Paris. We can’t promise that you won’t see other members of the team in Paris though from time to time, especially with Guenole’s role to develop the French market for Intela and Hakim’s activities with French based clients for 4by90.
